Its finally here!

After a long time of careful planning the Alchemy Records Tour : Evolve 1st Birthday celebration finally touches down this Friday 20th of October over 2 floors at Sydney’s superclub ARQ. The main room will be solid Psytrance and the second room a fusion of electro, progressive and tribal sounds..

It’s been a crazy years worth of monthly parties and we have invited ALCHEMY RECORDS to Sydney to celebrate! We are extremely excited to present a world class party for the Sydney crowd as a solid night of music and partying is long overdue!

Full production fitout comprising of full colour laser systems, custom decor and other special surprises will set the stage for 2 special music performances and a long night of partying!


YIN ROOM:

FREAKULIZER

Freakulizer has been creating a stir in the psytrance scene since his debut album 'The Awakening Process' was released on Alchemy Records in 2005. Hailing from Switzerland, Freakulizer is Simon Schwendener, the leading psytrance producer in Switzerland and otherwiser known as DJ Thujon.

At the young age of 15, Simon started to spin psytrance on vinyl back in1996. After 5 Years of DJ'ing in clubs around Switzerland, he turned his talent to produce his own music. He got some helping hands along the way from well known psychedelic artists like Sesto Sento , Eskimo, Silent Sphere , Cyber Cartell , Vibe Tribe who helped cultivate the now infamous deep morning sound that is the signature of 'Freakulizer'. His sound is powerful and melodic and has a definite sense of depth and purpose.

Freakulizer has an extensive release sheet and has been continually touring around the world since his debut album. For more than three years of producing tracks he has released tracks on numerous labels from Com.pact, Headroom, Psytropic, Zoom and of course the now legendary Alchemy Records.

DJ SHANE GOBI

Shane Gobi is Alchemy Records founder and Label Manager. Originally from South Africa, but now based in London, Shane has been an active DJ since 1997. He was signed as a label DJ to Sphere Records in 2000, and went on to start Alchemy Records a year later.


Shane has become one of the leading DJs in the psy-trance scene and has earned himself a solid reputation with a loyal following for his unique morning sets and his technical, energetic DJ style. He has played outdoor parties and club events in the UK, Israel, South Africa, Portugal, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, France, Spain, Belgium, Macadonia, Prague, Holland and Japan, to name just a few.

At the end of 2003, Shane was voted by the worldwide trance dancefloors on Isratrance forum as DJ of the year 2003. DJ and Producer, Shane has collaborated with label friends Dark Soho on the Groundzero project and is also one half of Whiplash with Rinkadink. Under the 2 projects Shane has released 6 tracks under various labels, Alchemy Records, Ambivelant Records and Nano Records.

STEVEN ALLKINS:
A legend of the Australian dance scene, Stephen Allkins has been a prominent and valued contributor for over 20 years. He’s one of the few to remain throughout constant changes to the club scene and one of the true pioneers of dance music in Australia.

Stephen Allkins is a name synonymous with dance music in Australia. His extensive and illustrious DJ career has spanned over an amazing three decades. In recent years, as [love] tattoo, Allkins has breathed life into such dance floor anthems as ‘History of Disco’, ‘Drop Some Drums’ and ‘The Bass Has Got Me Moving’. The songs established a new reputation in production for this experienced DJ and introduced him to a younger and broad-reaching audience.

SENSUM:
Sensum: Has been producing since 2002 His debut album “Nocturnal Transmissions” was released on ZMA in 2005 he has also released tracks on; Nervine records, Solarsiv records, Froggle records & Yellow Sunshine Explosion. After returning to Sydney in 2003, he quickly became known for tightly produced progressive sounds with a darker edge. Sensum has been going from strength to strength and look forward to a rocking set!

Russian born-Sydney based Sveta is widely known around Australia for her unforgettable and explosive diverse sets of deep and dirty grooves. Her sets ranging from electro, deep-tribal house, progressive and techno. She rocks any dancefloor in front of her!
