BIO'S:

GROUCH

Grouch is 23yr old Oscar, creating from Wellington, New Zealand. Producing his own tunes across many genre since the age of 16, he has been creating his own electronic vibe within NZ's Outdoor Dance Party scene for the last 2yrs.

After meeting Cosmic Conspiracy Records (CCR) around 2006, Grouch was thrown in the deep end to a range of new inspiration, and experienced a shift in focus to a more tech sound, as he began to frolick in realms of inter-dimensionality within the Trance conciousness.

Grouch plays a unique style across the board of Trance and Dub, encompassing many different techniques of other electronic genre. He has developed a fast growing following, across NZ and Australia, who readily get on the dance floor and stomp to their hearts content to squelchy deep root connecting basslines.


TERRAFRACTYL

In the dark forests of Tasmania in the mid 90's Felix Greenlees discovered the wild sounds of Goa trance and was instantly captivated. After a few years of unsuccessfully trying to make anything like it, he got distracted studying and playing classical music.
Now with his feet planted firmly back in the realms of psychedelia, Felix has been playing at parties all around Australia, whipping party goers into a frenzy on the dancefloor and has shared the stage with the likes of U-Recken, Penta, Perfect Stranger, Kindzadza, Loud, Shift, Cosm, Neuromotor, Bufo and Tsabeat just to name a few
Being trained as a bassoon player and with years of experience writing and performing music, has brought many different influences to his music. Classical, blues, jazz, breaks and many more are all infused into a distinctly melodic, uplifting and psychedelic morning trance. His interest in chaos theory, fractal artwork and sacred geometry has also shaped his music heavily over the past few years.
Felix also writes downbeat music with David Kastner as 'Mental Extensions', some very wacky trance with Launchpad and Positive Thought as 'Free Standing Pickles', has written some extreme groove inducing trance with Quench. Most recently, Felix has recently started writing strange psychedelic breaks under the name Hypnagog
He has released tracks on Sundance, Vertigo, Psypneumatix, Regen and Adapted records, you should also expect to see his debut album 'Chrysalis' out very soon on Sundance records

HIRED GOONZ

Hired Goonz is the synergy of the stunning transcendental nature of Neuron Compost combined with the freaked out funk of Freeform Human. Their material over the last few years has been met with lots of love and thankyous globally. If you are a bit bored of the old template trance and wondering what else is possible this act is probably for you.

Continuing to push the envelope of what’s possible Hired Goonz performed a special one off live set spatialised into 4.2 channel surround sound At 3rd Ears “Random Instinct” in 2005 to rave reviews.

Looking Forward, the Hired Goonz pirate love machine will be serving up some more dancefloor hits in 2009.


NEURON COMPOST

Neuron Compost; organic fertilization of the nervous system, is the creative audio output of 29 year old Reece Stockhausen. Interested in the capability of frequency to affect consciousness, the project is an exploration of the interface between technology and spirit, the pursuit of the transcendent through freeform artistic expression. The resultant sound is a rich abstraction of digitally abused semi-digested audio, intelligently structured, infused with an emotive, visceral presence. Utilizing aesthetics native to all sub-genres of contemporary psychedelia, yet conforming to none, the Neuron Compost style is difficult to define. Displaying a strong disregard for established codes and conventions, it is a solitary voice of dissent, maintaining an aurally challenging, fierce and confronting individuality, whilst retaining a strong dancefloor accessibility and subtle subversive humour.

The Neuron Compost liveset is a real-time interactive experiment in group shamanic trance-dance ecstasis. Utilizing his training and experience in meditation and energy dynamics, a space is facilitated whereby the participant is invited to move beyond genetic and social programming and actively engage the holistic Self. Through overloading the reasoning functions of the mind, this is music geared towards deep, esoteric exploration.

A passion for innovative sonic aesthetics, coupled with an intuitive insight into dancefloor dynamics, has recently seen Neuron Compost dj sets diversifying into down-tempo/ambient, IDM, dubstep, glitch breaks and minimal techno. The intention is to promote cutting-egde electronica whilst maintaining a coherent and emotionally engaging journey.

Reece is also responsible for the formation and artistic direction of Gi'iwa Productions, internationally recognized specialists in the release of forward thinking, truly progressive, psych0funkadelic trancefloor music.


FREEFORM HUMAN

Freeform Human is a collaborative audio/visual project closely linked with Hired Goonz and Gi’iwa Productions. The audio aspect is provided by John Halloran (Freeform), and the visual aspect provided by artist Jason Mitchell (Human).

The music is best described as psychedelic trance clashed with heavy inspiration from outside the genre. Expect to hear layers of electro, drum’n’bass, rock, breaks, hip hop, funk and world music in amongst classic psychedelic trance sounds. Live performance includes live keys, scratching and an extended live band with guitar and drums where available.

The live visual aspect of the performance includes synchronous analogue psychedelic tapestries of captured footage by the artist (Time lapse / photography / movie footage). We will try our best to capture some footage of the event before the live set to integrate into visuals also + a live video stream of the crowd while performing.

Together the audio and visual aspects provide an interactive immersive environment.


ONE TASTY MORSEL

OneTastyMorsel is the solo project of 22 year old Paul VanMorsel hailing from the hills of FNQ Australia. The project kicked off in early 2005 after a passion to express his musical views could not be found as an artist within the live band scene. Drawing influence from many forms of music and combining an eclectic taste in electronica with a passion for minimal psychadelic trance, the OneTastyMorsel sound lies somewhere in the middle grounds of Sensient,Autonomech and Krumelur. "OneTastyMorsel, Have you had yours yet"

REALITY PIXIE

The Reality Pixie project has been cultured and cured in the laboratory since 2003 resulting in a manic yet melodic blend of seriously psillycybin sounds that draws inspiration from a diverse decoction of magick,music and mythology.
The conduit for this musical experiment is "Mesq" from Brisbane, Australia. A musician for most of his life, Mesq has played drums in punk bands, performed solo acoustic works and studied classical voice over the years. With a keen interest in ecstatic trance and shamanism, Mesq found the Psychedelic Trance party a perfect medium to exorcise his creative aspect.
As a composer and DJ for Gi'iwa Productions and Vertigo Records Reality Pixie has performed at festivals and forest parties all around Australia, earning a solid reputation for his energy behind the decks and his tendency for emotional psychedelic journeys.
With releases on Gi'iwa Productions, Vertigo Records, Morning Monster Records and more on their way; Reality Pixie brings to you melodies and motifs inspired by the magickal creatures from the jungles of the mind.


SINISTER SEQUENCE

Sinister sequence is spawned from a collaboration of Sydney producers, S.E.T.H, SENSUM and HEDONIX. Formed in 2006, the project was conceived to bring a new dimension to each producers main focus and serves as a delivery system for each artist to bring to the dancefloor their own unique technique, with a synergy of minds and a crossover in style. For psychedelic mayhem and "intelligent design" S.E.T.H serves as the acts brainchild, while Sensum gives the driving force with a dose of patented spiritual awakenings albeit TANTRUMZ. Of course, as in any "three-way" Hedonix provides splashes of humour to go with what remains music with serious attitude. SINISTER SEQUENCE is bass-line heavy, driving, dance music made with a balance of psycho's and nitwits. "The powerful and driving combination of S.E.T.H and SENSUM meets the comedic audacity of Hedonix" as described by one avid fan. With upcoming releases, SINISTER SEQUENCE is destined for dancefloors worldwide.
