TERRAFRACTYL Felix Greenlees aka Terrafractyl has been playing and writing music for as long as he can remember. Brought up on a diet of Classical, Opera and Jazz he eventually went on to play Bassoon in several professional orchestras around Australia, as well as developing a love/addiction for the Piano and improvisation. Felix found his way to a outdoor Goa party in Hobart in the late 90's, was instantly captivated by the psychedelic music he heard there, and began to try his hand at putting some together himself. Since then Felix never looked back, and after carving out a spot for himself in the sence with his unique blend of Psytrance, Classical, Jazz(and a few more), he is now one of the most prominent and sought after electronic music performers in Australia. He has perormed at all of the major festivals in Australia, including Rainbow Serpent festival, Tribeadelic, Cairns Winter solstice, Dragon Dreaming Festival etc etc .and has been in constant demand for the past 4 years all around the country to play at parties of all shapes and sizes. Felix has also recently been sharing his music around the world and in the last few years has played in the US, Canada, Russia, Israel and is about to embark on a European Tour. His Debut album was released on Sundance Records in 2009 and He has released tracks on compilations for many labels around the world including Sundance, Vertigo, Adapted, Regen, Electric Power Pole, and Psylife records. Felix has also released a full length downbeat album Mental Extensions 'Inner Reality' and 3 IDM EP's under the monika Hypnagog : 'Dreaming in Pieces', 'Gyroscopic Bebop', on UP records, and more recently ‘Infinite Vibrations’ on Adapted Records. Most recently the 2nd Terrafractyl album, 'Electronic Evolution' has just been released on Vertigo Records, and has been receiving rave reviews all around, and there are already more surprises planned for later in the year... be prepared! :-) HYPNAGOG Hypnagog is a new musical project from Felix Greenlees aka Terrafractyl or Mental Extensions. After years of writing Psychedelic dance music and experimenting with plenty of other sonic forms, Felix has recently been listening to a lot more downtempo psychedelic breaks, IDM and the like, and felt it was time to try and combine these styles with his own to try and create some kind of hybrid, beat driven, yet melodic sound. As the project has progressed, Felix has also been experimenting with a kind of jazzy progressive trance and has been working to combine these 2 styles into what could maybe be described as Psychedelic ProgStep. Felix as always, makes it hard to describe and difficult to put into boxes but has been surprising and exhilerating audiences around the world for the past couple of years. He has released 2 different EP's both for UP records, 'Dreaming in Pieces' and 'Gyroscopic Bebop' , and next is a new EP 'Infinite Vibration', this time for Adapted Records, which will be out in April 2012.
