Melbourne based DJ Luke Shamanix has been a regular fixture on the Australian party circuit for many seasons now. Along with delivering up some of Melbournes most infamous underground psychedelic gatherings of recent years, he’s also traveled far and wide to lay down his sound at a diverse range of events, from regular club nights through to many of Australias largest festivals. Luke draws his inspiration from across the spectrum of psychedelic trance styles and from a diverse range of artists . However his signature sound remains that of dark nights in deep forests : pounding kicks , punchy effects and wild atmospherics delivered with minimum cheese. In 2001 luke was a co-founder of the U.C.C. ( unconscious collective crew ), a loose coalition of like minded individuals from across Victoria who come together periodically to create intimate outdoor gatherings. These have included the “Vanishing Point” and “Solar Lunacy” series of parties , along with the “Arcane Ritual“,which featured Digital Psionics supremo Dark Nebula as headliner .
